Corowa RSL Bowls Club hosted eighty-seven student "barefoot bowlers" under lights on Tuesday evening. The students, from Oasis Christian Camp were visiting Corowa for most of the week, enjoying camping, river activities and lawn bowls.

Keith Mills defeated Andrew Hirst in the finals of Corowa RSL Men's Minor Singles 2024-25 Championship last Thursday.

The Bowls Club and Volunteers are presenting our Bowls Club and Club Corowa "well".

Last week we mentored eighty-seven student barefoot Bowlers and a Social Group from Port Arlington.

RSL remain second on the ladder to Wodonga.

Anne Summerill vs Laurie Way and Judy Black and Rhonda Clark postponed the Semi Final Round on Sunday due to the weather.

Corowa Civic Bowls Club

Winners of Corowa Civic Bowls Club Over 60's Jim Carter Day - Lance Davis, John Dalgleish, Shane Rosenow and Ned Young.

Corowa Civic hosted the North Eastern 60 & Over – Jim Carter Day on Monday with 24 teams competing from Southern NSW and North East Victoria.

It was a very successful day, with one of Civic’s teams being the eventual winner on the day. It was very exciting for Ned Young, Lance Davis, Shane Rosenow and John Dalgleish to be presented with the Jim Carter Shield.

There will be a couple of games coming up in the Men’s Singles semifinal. Frank Martin versus Ian Lewis on Friday 22nd at 10.00am, Paul Hickey versus Ian Bilney on Sunday 24th at 10.00am.

The Ladies Singles semifinal on Friday 22nd at 10.00am will be played between Marie Lewsey and Maree Lewis.

The opening round of the Club Mixed Pairs which was scheduled for Sunday morning had to be postponed due to the rain. One game was played on Thursday. Pam Tobias and Shane Rosenow defeated Denise Mihan and Ray Ager.

On Wednesday evening November 27 there will be a social get-together at the Corowa Golf Club for dinner commencing at 6.00. If you would like to participate, please add your name on the sheet in the Club House.

A sheet is up on the noticeboard at the Club House for both the Men’s and Ladies Triples to be played on Sunday 15th December.

Sunday morning saw the final of our Pairs Competition with Tony Coppolino, and Joe Carnivale defeating Peter Manning, and Ellen Buckley by 19/18.

Our afternoon social winners on 15 and 17 (32) were Gwen Mills, Betty Clancy, and Joe Carnivale. Runners-up on 15 and 15 (30) were the team of Glenda Willett, Gloria McCluskey, and Bev Barron.

Tuesday’s winners on 17 and 16 (33) were Joe Wilson, Dawn Sander, and Joan Fletcher. Runners-up on 3 and 17 (20) were Helen Bartel, Joan Adams, Joe Carnivale, and Kerry Whalley.

And on Thursday afternoon the winners on 17 and 17 (34) were Nez Carnivale, Tony Coppolino, and Dawn Sander. And on 17 and 16 (33), the runners-up were Betty Clancy, Kerry Whalley, and Jan Webber.
