Barooga Cricket Club announces A-grade leadership for upcoming campaign

The Barooga Cricket Club’s leadership for the 2023-24 season has been announced.

Club stalwart and current captain Kale Watkins was revealed as the A-grade coach on Monday as preparations for the upcoming Murray Valley Cricket Association ramped up.

Watkins has experience in both positions and is well regarded for his professionalism.

There are high hopes that under his leadership the A-grade team will take out the premiership this season.

In other news, Jono Oliver has been given a dual position at the club as senior assistant coach and under-17s coach.

Oliver is a well-known presence at the Barooga Cricket Club and is known for his passion and support of the junior teams.

It will be a busy season for Oliver as he is also slated to coach in the Southern Riverina Cricket Council.
