Australian Christian College Hume students travelled to Shepparton this week to participate in the Shepparton and District Primary Schools Badminton Doubles Championships.

Looking to improve on a second and third place in division 3 last year, the students travelled up the Midland Hwy full of optimism for the day ahead.

The Benalla team was one of two Australian Christian colleges competing on the day.

Division 2 proved to be highly competitive, with both ACC teams giving it their all against tough competition from local schools St Luke's’ and Kialla Primary.

ACC just missed out on third place, but there was good news as Xavier Berriman won a brand new racquet for excellent sportsmanship across the competition.

ACC also fielded division 3 side, which was the most competitive division of the day.

Both ACC teams ended up against each other for the bronze medal.

With only one team able to emerge victorious, Eliza Keen with Phoenyx Symes won a tightly fought contest against Hayden Littler and Ruben Woods.
