Kyabram will welcome back key defender and four times best and fairest winner Jason Morgan for the penultimate Goulburn Valley League home-and-away round this Saturday at Kyabram against Seymour.

And after getting an all clear from his specialist last week, skipper Zac Norris may be a chance to play the last home-and-away game after sitting out this season so far with a shoulder injury sustained late last season.

More good news for the Bombers is skilful hardnut midfielder Bailey Tome is expected to be available for the remainder of the season.

One negative is that young gun Bohden Learmonth has suffered a lower injury that may derail his season.

Riley Ironside and Tom Burnett along with Morgan, who has missed the last seven games due to a hamstring injury, are expected to be available this Saturday to boost the Kyabram side which has scored commanding wins in its last three games to guarantee its tenth successive finals campaign.

Burnett has been a long term casualty while Ironside, who has been in good form, missed the last game in which Kyabram towelled up Mooroopna.

Just what position the Bombers finish in the final six is now a guessing game as the finals approach.

They currently sit on the fifth rung of the ladder but two games from fourth-placed Mooroopna and three games off third-placed Rochester.

Echuca and Shepparton can’t be dislodged from the top two spots.

Mooroopna who ended Mansfield’s finals hopes last Saturday this weekend hosts Rochester, coming off a heavy loss to flag favourite Echuca last Saturday and then meets Seymour at Seymour in the final round.

Even with a loss to Mooroopna this week, Rochester will get the chance in the final round to hold third place when it takes on Shepparton United.

Kyabram will start favourite to beat Seymour this Saturday and then tackles second-placed Shepparton in the final round.

But wins in both games is also unlikely to propel the Bombers into third place.

So if results go as anticipated Kyabram is likely to face Mooroopna in a cut-throat elimination final in the first week of the finals.
