State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland is seeking expressions of interest from local players to participate in the 2025 Euroa Electorate Bowls Tournament at the Parliament of Victoria.

The inaugural tournament held earlier this year was a resounding success, showcasing an exceptional display of skill, camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants from across the Euroa electorate.

Twenty-four players representing 10 clubs from across the region competed for the title of electorate champions on the state’s oldest greens, located at the Parliament of Victoria.

Clubs including Seymour, Violet Town, Nagambie, Benalla, Euroa, Heathcote, Seymour VRI, Murchison, Swanpool and Avenel were represented, as bowlers competed in two games of eight ends.

Next year’s event will take place in March and Cleeland is seeking three representatives from clubs across the region.

“This tournament promises to be a fun opportunity for camaraderie and friendly competition, bringing together clubs from throughout the region,” Cleeland said.

“I encourage all interested players to get in contact with their local club and register their interest for the tournament.

“It is important to me to welcome as many people as possible to the Parliament of Victoria to experience the wonder of such a historic place and to understand the impact that decisions made here have on our community.

“I look forward to continuing to share the joy of bowls and fostering connections within the bowls community as we prepare for another exciting event next year.”

In addition to the tournament, a light lunch and tour of Parliament House will be provided for all participants.

Information will be distributed to clubs across the region.
