Moama Steamers are fourth on the BPL15 table with three games to play until finals begin in what is shaping up to be a thrilling finish to BPL15.

With the top five sides going through to Friday’s finals series — and a shot at the $100,000 prize pool — the Steamers were tied on nine wins with Tasmania (5th) and were a game clear of Adelaide (6th) on Thursday afternoon.

The Steamers had nine wins and six losses to their name heading into the night rinks on Thursday night at Pine Rivers, with their sole fixture a blockbuster BPL14 final rematch against Sydney Lions.

The result of that clash will be crucial for Moama’s finals chances, with four sides currently locked up with a 9-6 record from second to fifth.

That game will be played in round 16, with two further games played on Friday morning set to determine the final five. Moama face Adelaide Pioneers and Melbourne Extreme.

Four-time MVP Aron Sherriff has unsurprisingly been wowing the Brisbane crowds in his first tournament as a Steamer, while Natasha Van Eldik and Ryan Bester have also found a good vein of form heading into the final day.

Moama are seeking a third Bowls Premier League title following a runners-up placing at BPL14.

Prior to the Thursday night’s games, Melbourne Pulse topped the leader board with 10 wins and five losses under the belt.
