It has been another exciting week of darts in the Mitchell Shire.

The first match of round seven kicked off at the Broadford Hotel, with the Broadford Badass hosting the Kings in a high-scoring battle.

The home side led 2-1 heading into the singles.

The next four games went to a tie-breaker, but Badass then took the lion’s share of the victories to lead 5-2 into the reverse singles.

The Kings kept the fight going, but the damage was done as Badass pocketed the four points with a 7-4 win.

The highlights for Badass included six pegs, eight tons and a 140 for Peter Myles, Mark Kreyts smashing in two tons, a 121, two 135 and two 140, and Anthony Wallis nailing a 135 and two 140s.

Adam Lynch was on point for the Kings, bashing in eight tons, Rob Welsh smacking in seven straight tons, Terran Crispin nailing five pegs and Anthony Bohlmann helping out with two tons.

The second game of the night took place at the Commercial Hotel, with the Amigos emerging with a 10-1 victory over the Pirates.

Seth Kilroy was the pick of the litter for the Pirates, notching the team’s only victory.

Zane Kilroy fought hard with five tons, while Tammy Kilroy fired in her first ton of the season.

Highlights for the Amigos included five pegs for Torin Helmore, Mark Robinson scoring eight tons, Shantelle Collings getting two tons and Darren Withoos snagging a high peg of 90.

The Golf Club Aces squared up against the Kilmore Cobras at the Broadford Golf Club in the final A-grade game of the round.

With the Aces still hunting for their first win for winter, this was an opportunity they could not afford to let slip.

The Cobras though were hungry for the taste of success as well and came out firing, shooting out to a 3-0 lead to pile the pressure on the Aces.

The Aces were up to the challenge and hit back in the singles to level the scores at three all.

Both teams traded blows in the reverse singles, with the scoreline reading 5-5 with one game to play.

The Aces’ returning captain would drag his team over the line to win their first game of the year, 6-5.

Mark Jones threw 140 for the Aces and Craig Stephenson snagged a ton and a 132.

Along with them, Steve Raynor banged in a ton and a 125, and Alan Sharp scored a ton.

The Cobras’ Rohan Clancy dominated the headlines after smashing in a round-high peg of 100, which went nicely with three tons and two 140s.

Rob Davon scored three tons from limited opportunities, Josh Read nailed a 121, Gerard Brady snagged a 140 and Crystal Bird fired in a ton.

The first B-grade game of the season took place at the Royal Hotel, with the Royal Rascals rolling out the welcome mat for the 26ers.

After a bumpy start to the night, the Rascals took the game by the scruff of the neck and did as they pleased, cruising to a 10-1 victory.

Highlights for the Rascals included six pegs for Aaron Peacock, Brendan Rogers nailing a match-high peg of 73 to go with a high score of 133, Belinda Reid slotting a 103 and Stuart Crockett chipping in with a ton.

Brian Ward was the top dog for the 26ers, slipping in a high peg of 72 and a 132.

Sharon Ring sneaked in a 117 and Sabrina Vinci hit a single ton.

The Convicts faced off against the Jacaranda in the following B-grade game of the night, with the Convicts winning 6-5 in a close arm wrestle.

Jackson Browne fired in a ton and a 140, while Peter Browne, Eoin Flynn and Perri Clancy banged in a ton each for the Convicts.

The only player for the team to snag a recordable score for the Jacarandas, Aaron Ballantyne, fought hard.

He finished the night with five pegs and four tons.
