The Campaspe Tennis Association is gearing up for season 2024/25 with plenty of action on its way across the region.

The CTA season will once again run from October to March, with two senior, and three junior grades once again on offer.

Senior teams feature four men and four women, with 13 ties contested in the round, consisting of a handful of singles matches followed by a variety of men’s, women’s and mixed doubles pairings taking to the court.

Echuca 1 claimed its third consecutive division one title earlier this year after recording an unbeaten season and will likely set the benchmark for the other sides to meet again this year.

Despite some closer results throughout the year, Echuca 1 had a relatively routine win over Rochester, 82-75 in the final.

Echuca did the senior double with Echuca 4 overthrowing minor premiers Rochester 2 72-57 in the final.

Tongala 1 took out the junior A-grade while Rochester 4 was B-grade champions, and Echuca 15 came away with the C-grade championship.

On the back of Tonny’s success, there have been discussions about Tongala increasing its presence within the association, with the possibility of a senior team being included this year.

The association is still finalising plans for the new season but expects to have draws available in the coming weeks.
