Kyabram’s batters have some work to do after Karramomus posted a healthy 213 on the first day of their two-day Cricket Shepparton Haisman Shield clash on Saturday.

Without bowling spearhead Jackson McLay, the Kyabram bowlers struggled to dismiss the home side batters with Jayden Dhosi making 62 and Nathan Jones (54) proving stumbling blocks for the Kyabram attack led by Charlie McLay.

McLay’s 20 overs produced four wickets at a cost of 50 runs.

The only other multiple wicket-taker for Kyabram was Jack Donnell with 3-33 off seven overs.

Kyabram will be without frontline batter Cade Mueller for this Saturday’s run chase.
