Sacred Heart College in Yarrawonga kicked off the inaugural fundraising event for the Community Heart Appeal last Friday, September 6.
The event brought students together for a lunchtime BBQ, raising a much-appreciated $457 to kickstart our Community Heart Appeal.
Robin Haberecht, Chief Executive Officer of Yarrawonga Health, spoke about the appeal’s impact on local healthcare “It’s wonderful to see local students come together for such an important cause”.
“The Community Heart Appeal will benefit Yarrawonga Health and our whole community, and we’re very grateful to Sacred Health for supporting us in this cause.
“The funds raised will help us redevelop our theatre, allowing us to provide more surgical services closer to home.
“We’re very excited the appeal has commenced with our first donation and look forward to strengthening community partnerships.”
