The Coleambally Swim Club will hold its first annual carnival since 2019 this Saturday.

Starting at 2pm, the carnival will take place at the Coleambally Swimming Pool, with free entry for those interested in seeing the young athletes in action in the water.

Nominations for the carnival close at 5pm today, with events for swimmers from seven years-old and under to the open age group.

Coleambally Swim Club secretary Jenna Groves said entrants will make their way to the swim centre from across the Riverina, including as far away as Yass.

She said the annual swim carnival has not been held in recent years due to COVID-19 restrictions, and the club was really happy to be able to hold it again this Saturday.

There will be a number of races in each age group and a ‘dash for cash’ in the open, according to Groves.

The Coleambally Swim Club currently has 28 members in its squad.

They will take on other swimmers from around the region.
