The Goulburn Valley Playing Area Edna Harling Shield rolled on Tuesday with round 11 midweek bowls, as did the lower divisions.
Top sides got checked in multiple divisions, as something had to give in the feature clash between Shepparton Park (8-3) and Seymour (7-3-1).
Give, it sure did.
Park held Seymour to the Harling Shield’s lowest total of the day in a convincing 16-70 to 0-52 win, remaining neck and neck with Shepparton Golf (8-3) after its 16-76 to 0-60 victory over Tatura-Hill Top (4-1-6).
Kyabram (4-1-6) and Euroa (5-1-5) each achieved crucial away wins in the fight for fourth, with the former accounting for East Shepparton (4-7) and the latter downing Rushworth (2-9).
Top division two side Kyabram was put to the sword by Tallygaroopna in the main talking point of the GVPA’s second tier, maintaining a grip on first place despite the 14-86 to 2-55 thrashing.
Rechelle Zammit patrolled the greens at Mooroopna Bowls Club to capture division six action between Mooroopna White (9-1-2) and Avenel (5-1-6).
