Corowa Rowing Clubs junior rowers will be heading to Penrith, home of the Sydney Olympics, to take on the 2000m course and the NSW sprint Championships over the 500m course.
The Clubs Under 17 females Sommers Hogan, Phoebe Packer, Imogen Wragge, Indi Hogan and cox Edie Tomlinson will compete in the quad and double sculls over the 2000m course and adding the single sculls for the Sprint Championships on the Sunday.
The Under 21 crews will feature Bella Heagney, Eva Broad,
Imogen Wragge and Imogen Tomlinson in the coxless quad with Bella and Eva teaming in the double scull with Imogen Tomlinson joining Bella and Eva in the single scull on Sunday. Liz Sandow will be competing in the masters single scull over the 1000m and 500m courses.
Rowing over the Olympic course is a first time for some of the girls and a great reward for their efforts on the water training.
With a big step, up in competition it will give the rowers a great indication of where they are at and preparing for the Victorian regattas in the new year.
The annual Santa regatta will be held on the Murray River Sunday, December 15 with an opportunity for our newest rowers to have their first race with a visit from Santa.
