Deni swimmers are always improving

The Deniliquin Amateur Swim Club 2024/25 season is well under way, with the club celebrating its 140th year with some great personal bests and time trial times.

The club hosts its fun Time Trial event every Tuesday night during the season, which involves fun race activities and a barbecue.

Last week’s Week 5 time trials saw 45 personal best times after an impressive 28 personal bests the week before.

Tonight is the last time trial event for 2024.

The club has also seen its members take part in many of the carnivals and meets on the Southern Inland Swimming Association Calendar.

Members competed at Griffith on Saturday, November 16, with 21 personal bests, two silvers and six bronzes.

At Coleambally on Saturday, November 30, Deni swimmers came home with many medals, ribbons and personal bests.

Ribbons were also brought home from Swan Hill on December 1, and at the weekend Deni swimmers posted personal bests, medals and showed great sportsmanship across the board at the Leeton/Yanco carnival.

Deniliquin is scheduled to host its carnival Saturday, January 11.

The Deniliquin Amateur Swimming Club operates out of the Deniliquin Swim Centre, in Poictiers St, Deniliquin.
