Echuca United has put the final touches together for season 2023, announcing its senior football club coaching outfit.

Farran Priest will once again go around as the Eagles’ senior coach, extending his tenure into a second season, while Matt Carnie will again join him as an assistant.

Priest took up the role after returning to the club last season from Elmore and has overseen the recommitment of the majority of the senior list.

Echuca United finished the 2022 season with three wins as it looks to climb the ladder in 2023.

The reserves side will be co-coached by Peter Quanchi and 2022 under-17 mentor Garet Stobaus.

Stobaus led the thirds team to the grand final this season, while Quanchi has been a regular in the senior side.

In 2023, the thirds will be coached by the returning Peter Bird, a former junior and senior player at the club.

Bird, who debuted for the senior side as a 14-year-old, said he was “impressed” by the club’s vision.

The fourths side will be helmed by Wayne Phyland, with Glenn Blachford set to join him as assistant coach.

Last week, the Eagles announced their first signing of the 2023 season, with former 100-gamer Luke Sanderson making his way back to the club.
