Echuca Bowls Club celebrates Christmas with fours event

Gayle Kerr, Helen Holzer, Kaye Barker and Beryl Murray won the ladies’ event.

Members of Echuca Bowls Club and other regional bowlers took to the greens on Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13 for the club’s annual Christmas fours event.

On Thursday at the men’s event, the Moama team of Peter Campbell, Barry Brennan, John Worledge and Jim Hogan claimed the victory.

The Rich River squad of Gary Radford, Tim Noar, Dennis Demeo and Peter Jackson took second spot, while the home side of Ray Sellwood, Jeremy Boruch, Mark Bentley and Trevor Downie took third place.

On Friday the women took centre stage, local combinations earning all three placings.

Overall honours went to Gayle Kerr, Helen Holzer, Kaye Barker and Beryl Murray.

Pat Schram, Di Payne, Chris Taylor and Michelle Cunnington earned second place, while Poss Andrea, Kym Ray, Cindy Felmingham and Stella Hagan were the thrid place-getters.
