After convincingly defeating reigning premier Seymour prior to the split-round bye, Echuca showed no rust after a week off the courts.

The Murray Bombers' latest challenge came in the form of the bottom-of-the-table Mansfield, and in their pursuit of a third consecutive win, the home team made no mistake as its recent purple patch continued.

Echuca delivered a clinical performance against the Eagles, securing a 37-goal victory at Victoria Park over the weekend, thanks to inspired performances from Steph Vick, Rainna Fimmel, and Ash Mangan.

The 60-23 triumph marked Echuca's seventh win of the season, following a dominant 33-goal to 10 first half in favour of the Murray Bombers. Nelle Cousins, Emily Hutchins, and Alicia Foster toiled hard for the winless Eagles.

Currently placed fifth, Echuca (7-3-1) has now won four of its past five games, establishing itself as one of the prominent Goulburn Valley League A-grade contenders after a mixed start to the season.

Wins against Mooroopna and Seymour in successive rounds put the competition on notice, but Echuca faces another challenging match-up with a clash against third-placed Tatura in round 12.

The Bulldogs narrowly lost by two goals against ladder-leaders Mooroopna over the weekend, and Tatura will be aiming for back-to-back wins against Echuca after defeating the Murray Bombers by 22 goals in round one.
