The Goulburn Valley Playing Area’s midweek pennant brought us an extra treat this week.

Kyabram and Shepparton Park collided on Friday in a catch-up game which had been deferred from round two, with the Bombers remaining alone at the top after eventually prevailing 14-60 to 2-52.

With that out of the way, it was time for the full slate of round four action Tuesday morning as all eight teams entered on the same page.

It’s safe to say the loser of Friday’s clash rebounded much better than the winner did as Shepparton Park blitzed bottom side Euroa, cruising home in a 16-74 to 0-32 belting.

Meanwhile, Kyabram was pegged back into the pack spectacularly by Tallygaroopna, inflicting a first defeat upon the red and black in a 16-67 to 0-45 result that allowed Park to take top spot for the week.

Tatura-Hill Top secured a maiden victory of the campaign after overcoming East Shepparton 14-64 to 2-51, bringing a bit of relief and leaving Euroa the only side without a win.

Finally, Seymour upended reigning premier Shepparton Golf 14-62 to 2-51 in our featured clash, for which Megan Fisher patrolled the greens with camera in hand.
