Finals fever is officially alive within the Goulburn Valley Playing Area after midweek bowls commenced its knockout stages Tuesday at Tatura Bowls Club.

Shepparton Golf and Seymour headlined the card, contesting a major semi-final with an assured grand final place at stake.

It was the visitors from down south who took their chances, with a whopping rink win by Alison Hall’s quartet commandeering an eventual 13-68 to 3-56 triumph.

Meanwhile, minor premier Golf can now look forward to hosting a preliminary final meeting with Kyabram after the Bombers ended Shepparton Park’s season in the minor semi-final.

The 14-69 to 2-60 win cemented a poor set of outcomes for Shepparton’s midweek pennant bowlers, while Seymour reaps the benefits of a week off before hosting the grand final.

Rechelle Zammit went along to snap the division two double-chance game where Tallygaroopna advanced over Kyabram for The News.
