The spectacle of midweek pennant bowls is back with Tuesday welcoming a barn-burning return of division one Edna Harding Shield action to the region.

Powerhouse Shepparton Golf kicked off October with a 16-81 to 0-36 dismantling of East Shepparton to etch its name on the winners’ list.

Carla Miles orchestrated a 30-7 thrashing of Warren Miles’ quartet in the first rink, with John Stokes and Kris Wright following suit to record respective 29-15 and 22-14 triumphs in the following play.

If Golf’s win was big Shepparton Park’s victory over Rushworth was equally ― if not more ― impressive.

Park hit its straps from the get-go, powering to maximum points following a 16-99 to 0-48 result.

The highlight came in the third rink, with Catherine Dudley’s 36-12 performance over Debbie Thompson and co getting onlookers up and about.

At Seymour, the host recorded a 9-68 to 7-68 draw with Kyabram and Tatura-Hill Top split the points with Euroa after the game finished 9-74 to 7-74.
