Kyabram has suffered its second shock Goulburn Valley Playing Area Edna Harling Shield loss in as many weeks, this time falling to Seymour on its home green to put its spot atop the ladder in jeopardy.

Eager to bounce back after their disappointing trip to Euroa, the Bombers were blown away by a hungry Seymour unit that played well beyond its sixth place standing on the midweek pennant division one ladder to come away a 14-79 to 2-58 victor.

The Lions got the job done by winning two of the three rinks in what was a complete team effort.

Ian Eichfuss was the star of the show as he orchestrated a dominant 31-15 win in rink two.

Christopher Preddy ensured Kyabram walked away with some points, with his rink three unit coming away with a 22-14 triumph.

Elsewhere, East Shepparton solidified itself in second spot with a pivotal 14-74 to 2-66 victory over Euroa.

A tight battle throughout the day, the Eagles claimed victory in two of the three rinks, with club legend Stacey Collier’s 31-15 win proving to be the difference between the two sides.

Shepparton Park continues to put pressure on the top two as it bested Shepparton Golf 12-71 to 4-63.

Graeme Myers was the standout for Park, with his rink two squad producing a dominant 34-11 victory.

While Tatura-Hill Top rounded out the winners’ list with a thumping 16-77 to 0-51 win over cellar-dweller Rushworth.

These set up a blockbuster final round of the home and away season, with two wins separating Kyabram in top spot from Euroa in seventh.
