A Goulburn Valley League side will be without its playing coach for the next two rounds of action.

Euroa’s Ryan Pendlebury has been slapped with a two-game ban after an early guilty plea, handed the suspension at this week’s tribunal hearing.

Pendlebury was reported by the Match Review Officer for engaging in rough conduct against an opponent in the win against Tatura on April 13.

It was graded as intentional, medium impact and high/groin/chest contact.

Fellow Magpie Darby Wilson was given a lesser penalty and will miss one game for engaging in a melee.

Wilson also accepted an early guilty plea.

A slew of other players from the Euroa-Tatura game got off with warnings in the aftermath of the fracas at Memorial Oval, with Magpies Silver Yousif and Fletcher Paul, as well as Bulldogs Fayte Belmont-Wickliffe and Ryan Young reprimanded for engaging in a melee.

An unnamed Shepparton United junior was delivered a one-match suspension with an early guilty plea for engaging in rough conduct against an opponent, rounding out the GVL charge sheet.

In Kyabram District League, Avenel’s Michael Jansen was given an indefinite suspension after failing to appear at the tribunal hearing.

He was cited for using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language towards or in relation to an umpire, graded high level.

Jansen will remain suspended until he appears at a tribunal hearing.

Merrigum’s Jacob Russell accepted a one-match ban after he was reported by an umpire for a similar, but lower-level, charge to Jansen’s, while Violet Town’s Bowen McCarthy will miss a match after a tripping incident against Avenel.

Longwood’s Brayden Klemke has been suspended for one game for engaging in a melee, downgraded from two games after accepting an early guilty plea.

Meanwhile, Shepparton East’s Shannon Campbell will front the tribunal for engaging in a melee.

The hearing was slated for Thursday night.

Lastly, Barooga’s Samuel Trembath accepted a reprimand for a low-impact striking incident in Murray Football League.
