Five Deniliquin Rams netballers will represent their club and region at the Netball Victoria Origin Association Championship final, held in Melbourne on Sunday.

A-grade players Rhiannon Maxwell, Chloe Way, Ella Harvey and Annie Harvey will be playing in the opens team, and Ava Marshall will play in the under-13s Murray League team.

The under-13s side well and truly earned their place at the Associations Championships final, having remained undefeated in the North East Championships held earlier this year.

Rams netball coordinator Meagen Rodda said the club is really proud for the girls who have the opportunity to play at a higher level.

“We are very excited at the range of talent in our club, particularly the juniors who are coming through the ranks,” she said.

Rodda said the level of talent on show is exciting for the club and league as a whole.

“The under-13s side in particular this year has been really strong, as well as the under-17s who were very unlucky not to make the finals,” she said.

“But it’s worth noting that none of this would be possible without all the amazing coaches, committee and supporters.”
