The AFL’s school holiday program passed through Moama on Wednesday, April 9, with local kids 12-and-under getting a chance to take their first steps into the sport or hone existing skills.
Kids aged 4-7 got a taste of the Auskick program, and those aged 8-12 tried out Superkick, completing drills and mini-games under the watchful eye of official AFL coaches.
Over 70 kids took part in the program, which ran from 9am-3pm at Moama Recreation Reserve.
The local Auskick and Superkick weekly programs will be beginning locally in the next few weeks, with Superkick to be held at Victoria Park on Sundays from 8.45-9.45am beginning April 27, and Auskick at Echuca South Recreation Reserve on Fridays 5-6pm from May 2.
