Some of Germany’s most famous soccer clubs won’t know what has hit them in the second half of the season, with Alou Kuol making a loan move to the Bundesliga second division.

Shepparton’s own soccer maestro has signed with SV Sandhausen on loan from VFB Stuttgart until the end of the season.

Sandhausen will provide an exciting new challenge for Kuol, who has played 19 games for Stuggart’s under-21 side and scored seven goals since his arrival in Germany.

The move gives the youngster a chance to compete against some of Germany’s most famous clubs, including Hamburger SV, FC Schalke 04 and FC St Pauli, which is home to Socceroo Jackson Irvine.

This transfer deadline day move is another step in what has been a whirlwind year for the Shepparton export, who signed with Stuttgart until June 2025 in April last year from A-League outfit Central Coast Mariners.

In a statement released by his new club, Kuol said he was looking forward to the next task in his career.

“I am very grateful to SV Sandhausen that I have the opportunity to play in the second league,” Kuol said.

“I want to prove myself here and thus help the club achieve its sporting goals.”

With Sandhausen currently sitting in 16th position on the ladder and in the relegation zone, Kuol will provide a much-needed goal-scoring boost to his new club.

Sandhausen’s next game is against FC Erzgebirge Aue on Saturday night Australian time, with Erzgebirge Aue sitting one spot below Sandhaussen on the table.

Fans of Kuol will be hoping the excitement machine is handed some minutes this weekend.
