There was little to separate the winners and losers in a blockbuster round of Edna Harling Shield midweek pennant bowls action yesterday.

Headlining round 10 was a fascinating draw between Euroa and Shepparton Park at Euroa Bowls Club.

The two sides landed on 73 shots apiece after an incredible fightback from the Parkers in the third rink after losing out in the first two.

Euroa sealed rink one and two 30-18 and 30-28 respectively, but Graeme Myers’ rink three would come from the clouds to run away in the final bout 27-13, drawing the two sides level.

Kyabram clung on to its narrow lead at the top of the ladder after overcoming Tatura-Hill Top by 74 shots to 68 in a close encounter at Hill Top Bowling Club.

The visitor clinched all three rinks, but was held to a margin of less than three shots in each clash.

Mary Greco’s rink one squad took all the points after winning 28-26.

The Bulldogs’ Phil Boyd-led rink two team pushed Kyabram all the way, but Christopher Preddy’s squad was able to hang on to clinch it 22-21.

Jennifer Dixon led her rink three squad to a 24-21 win to ice the game.

Meanwhile, last-placed Rushworth gave second-placed Shepparton Golf a run for its money, going down by six shots at Rushworth Bowling Club.

The home side won the first two rinks with 22-21 and 25-17 shot wins, but Golf would flex its muscle in the third rink to take the points after a 32-17 win.

East Shepparton jumped to third after a 21-shot win over Seymour at East Shepparton Bowls Club.

Max Hammond led his rink to a 21-20 win in the first encounter to have Seymour in front, but Graeme Barber and Stacey Collier would ensure East Shepparton came away with the points after strong wins in the final two rinks.
