The region’s 10th and final Victorian Open commenced on bowling greens across the Goulburn Valley on Friday after a three-year COVID-19 hiatus.

More than 2000 players are taking part in the event, making it the largest in Victorian Open history.

The week-long event commenced with the mixed pairs competition on Friday and will come to a close with finals to be staged this Friday.

News photographer Rechelle Zemmit got along to Shepparton Park Bowls Club to capture some of the action from the mixed pairs event.
