Echuca Murray Bombers hosted Shepp Notre Bears Maroon at Victoria Park on Sunday in the Goulburn Murray Junior League under-16 division one competition.

Although they kept themselves within striking distance in the first quarter, the Murray Bombers weren’t able to stem the Bears’ flow of goals and went down 5.2 (32) to 20.17 (137).

Maroon’s Lincoln Brand, Nate Yze and Thomas Mellington each booted three goals during the landslide win.

In the round’s other games, Tatura edged Mooroopna by nine points, while Kyabram snuck past Shepparton United 5.7 (37) to 4.10 (34) and Shepp Notre Bears Gold beat the Echuca Bombers by 133 points.
