In light of an epic last round the Goulburn Murray Junior League table is dressed and ready for a bumper finals banquet.

In the under-16 division one competition, Shepparton United missed out on the four on percentage alone despite crashing through Mooroopna 14.6 (90) to 6.3 (39) on Sunday.

Jules Cook whipped up a six-goal storm for the Demons, while Archer Hueston contributed four, but it wasn’t enough to vault over Kyabram and into finals contention due to the Bombers beating Echuca by 25 points.

Though Kyabram’s winning margin was slimmer, the Bombers’ +44 per cent differential on United and +93 per cent on Mooroopna (all on 40 points) sees it through to an elimination final, taking on Shepparton Notre Bears Maroon.

The other final will be a direct replay of Sunday’s bout between Tatura and Shepparton Notre Bears Gold.

Gold’s young prodigy Alex Whitlock sealed a bag of nine majors during the 16.3 (99) to 7.6 (48) victory against the Bulldogs, boding well for the Bears ahead of the qualifier.

And in the final match of the round, Shepparton Swans ended their season on a high thanks to a 13.10 (88) to 5.6 (36) beating of Echuca Murray Bombers.
