The spirit of representative football drew the masses to Mooroopna when the 2023 Junior Interleague Championships stirred the Cattery to life on Sunday.

Juniors donned their league guernseys with plenty of pride on the line at the bumper occasion, as Goulburn Murray Junior League (GMJL) completed a clean sweep across all age grades.

In the under-13s Lynkoln Richardson and Nate Warrin were two standouts across the matches, while Lincoln Brand and Addison Godsmark were judged best-on for the under-14s.

Kristian Fitzsimmons and Blake Sofra stood out for the under-15s in their two wins, while Darby Jones and Alexander Donchi were the under-16s top performers.

News photographer Rechelle Zammit was boundary-side to snap the GMJL under-16s’ meeting with the Murray Football League outfit, which finished 9.3 (57) to 0.0 (0) in the former’s favour.
