Bright sunny conditions at John McEwen Reserve didn’t provide the junior Goulburn Valley Suns with much relief.

The junior representative side hosted Eastern Lions for round three of the under-17 National Premier League East Victoria Boys competition on Sunday afternoon.

Eastern led the match from start to finish as the visitors piled on the pressure in attack, with one Lion Chris Stamatelos scoring a hat-trick.

GV Suns fought hard but it was to no avail as the final score finished 0-5 in Eastern Lions’ favour.

Round four will see GV Suns host Port Melbourne on Sunday, February 23.
