Goulburn Valley Playing Area will witness identical grand final match-ups across divisions one and two following the weekend’s preliminary final action.

Tallygaroopna staved off Seymour’s charge to book a spot in the second tier’s big dance and, just like their division one mates, the Redlegs will meet Shepparton Golf.

Seymour hooked a 2-2 split in the rinks against Tallygaroopna, but it wouldn’t be enough in the wash up.

The Redlegs were propped up by Bryan Daws’ rink’s 28-19 thumping in the first exchange, going on to reap a 14-91 to 4-88 win.

Rushworth scored a nine-shot victory over Mooroopna Golf to meet Seymour VRI in the division three grand final, while Euroa and Eildon will contest the division four decider following the latter’s 14-102 to 4-92 success over Alexandra.

Merrigum trumped Kyabram in the division five prelim, now meeting Colbinabbin in the final, while Euroa scored an 18-shot win over Mooroopna in division six to book a date with Yea on Saturday.

Lastly, Eildon will take on Mooroopna for division seven honours after seeing off Rushworth.

News photographer Megan Fisher was along for the ride at the division two preliminary final between Tallygaroopna and Seymour.
