Round eight of the Goulburn Valley Playing Area weekend pennant season had multiple tight tussles across each of the grades on Saturday.
The division four bout between East Shepparton and Shepparton Park headlined the action as the Parkers escaped with a narrow nine-shot win.
Under bright and sunny conditions at East Shepparton, the away team flexed its muscles to run out a 14-90 to 4-81 victor.
Park’s Doug Freeman and his rink enjoyed a crucial 35-10 win, while East’s Bob Sutton skipped his rink to an eye-catching 30-19 triumph.
