Local schools sent their best and brightest hoopers to Echuca Basketball Stadium last Friday, in an attempt to prove themselves worth of representing the region at higher level events.
In round-robin play, Echuca PS and St Mary’s stood out in both the boys and girls divisions, the two schools topping both divisions with 20 points and progressing to the finals.
In the boy’s final, Echuca came out on top 17-12 to qualify, while St Mary’s turned the tables in the girls, getting the win 13-11.
The winning schools will represent Campaspe in Swan Hill on November 1.
