To celebrate Australia’s fantastic Olympic campaign in Paris and to encourage the next generation of Olympians, Echuca Moama Athletics held its after-school Olympics this week at Jack Eddy Oval.

At 5pm on Monday, August 5, Wednesday, August 7, and Friday, August 9, Echuca Moama Athletics encouraged ‘budding Olympians’ to come run, jump and throw like a champion.

Monday’s session saw participants compete in 60m timed runs and discus throwing with hoops.

Wednesday session was all about leaping, with participants competing in long jump and triple jump events.

Participants also got a chance to train with local junior super star athletes.
