The Berrigan Gold Cup took place over the weekend, boasting a six-race card, fashions on the field and food and beverages at the ready for racegoers.
The Berrigan & District Race Club was granted beautiful weather conditions for the 2024 instalment of the popular event.
Gates opened at 11am and crowds of keen racegoers flooded through for the day's racing, dressed to the nines and trying to change their fortunes on a horse ... or two.
The racing was hotly contested and the four races before the Berrigan Gold Cup set a strong standard for the main race of the day.
Christopher Pang was a standout as the winning jockey of the Gold Cup, riding Play on Words to a strong win.
But it wasn’t his only win for the day.
Pang took out three of the six races on the day.
Play on Words was trained by Rod Symons and sponsored by Baxter Transport and Namarang Farms.
