Good numbers for night of croquet

Trevor Davis runs the ball watched by Brad Fawns, Anni Nisbet and Brian Dudley.

Unfortunately, only day of croquet was played this last week.

Play was scheduled to take place on Sunday, but rainy weather thwarted that meeting.

Twenty members played croquet on a sunny day on Wednesday.

Of the three-game winners, Brian Dudley was declared the winner on a countback from Andy Davis.

The two game achievers were Rod Fawns, Ray Moye, Terry Murphy, Brad Fawns, Allan Tonta, Carol David and Judy Barry.

Three jump shots were scored - one each by Allan Tonta, Leo Barry and Tony Smith.

Newcomer to the game, John Christian, was the lone hoop-in-one shot scorer.

Members are continuing to play socially while the weather holds and before the courts close on December 15 for four weeks of maintenance.

Carol David and Tony Smith show John Christian the play.
