Three of the Goulburn Valley’s strongest lawn bowls club joined forces this week to get in some much-wanted practice matches ahead of the new season.

On Tuesday, October 1, 56 bowlers from host club Seymour and the Nagambie and Avenel clubs attended and enjoyed a lovely day of friendly competition under sunny skies.

The game was played in two halves, each on the front and back green, to give all players a taste of artificial and grass green play.

Seymour president Jan Wesselman declared that all were winners on a well-contested day.

The club provided lunch for all players afterwards.

The Seymour Bowls Club thanks Bronwyn and Floyd Allen for the provisions, the chefs Fitzy and Noel for the barbecue work, the bar staff and the greenkeepers for the day and the midweek collective for the organisation.
