The broadcasting partnerships have been locked in for the 2023 Goulburn Valley League season.

Cluch returns as the league’s official live streaming partner, while the radio rights have also been finalised for the upcoming campaign.

One FM will call one game each week throughout the home and away season, while each Seymour and Mansfield game – home and away – will be called by Seymour FM and Radio Mansfield respectively.

Southern Cross Austereo (Triple M GV and Hit 96.9 GV) have signed on as league partners to assist in match promotion, while the GVL commentary team, spearheaded by Michael Van Dorsser, is back again.

League board chair Jacqui Hudgson said the organisation was pleased to provide coverage to thousands of football and netball fans this season.

“The GVL is thrilled about our broadcasting strategy for 2023 and beyond,” she said.

“We plan to get our games out to as many people as possible, across as many platforms as possible.

“Our broadcast partnerships will help us bring this vision to life and we are excited about the possibilities.”

In addition to broadcasting, the league has partnered with Premier Data to source match statistics of every senior football game, which will be delivered by McPherson Media Group as the league’s media statistics partner.

AFL Goulburn Murray head of operations Jo Spencer was pleased to have the platform on board for 2023.

“Last week, all the GVL senior coaches and football managers came together for a presentation with Premier Data,” she said.

“There was a real sense of excitement as to the stats and vision that coaches will now have access to weekly.

“We also know that the team at McPherson Media Group, who did a fantastic job in 2022 with GVL Data, will now be able to have more information at their disposal to generate the news and stories that all football fans want to devour.

“We are excited to watch this grow.”

Premier Data director Tony Pucella said he was excited to join forces with a league as prestigious as the GVL.

“With over 125 years of servicing the Goulburn Valley region with Aussie rules football, the GVL is always regarded as one of the premier country leagues in Victoria,” he said.

“The team and I at Premier Data are privileged and excited to be able deliver to GVL coaches, players and supporters with our data analytics and our new updated user experience.

“Coaches and players can now enhance development and game day performances, with all the work done for them.

“This all leads to adding wonderful content to allow the GVL to showcase its electrifying talent to the whole football family across the country.”
