Blues entertainment and thrilling action on the track were a perfect pairing for race-goers on Friday, who attended Echuca Racing Club in droves.

Ten races were run and won, and three blues acts wowed the crowds on the day.

Julian James and the Moonshine State, Paul Buchanan’s Voodoo Preachers and Eddy and the Exciters each performed sets for a healthy crowd of punters.

On the course, the day was highlighted by Tongala apprentice jockey Rose Hammond taking race nine aboard $21 outsider Arachnattack for trainer Stephen Lenehan.

Echuca Racing Club’s next meeting will be on August 11.
