Rochester secured its sixth consecutive win on Saturday, with Shepparton United the Tigers’ latest victim.

There were some great individual performances across the Rochy team at the weekend, as the Tigers move from strength to strength this season.

And it was Mitch Trewhella who led the way, making contributions all over the park.

Trewhella led his side in ranking points (170) after polling impressive numbers in multiple areas.

He proved the lynchpin of his side’s ball movement, his monstrous 39 disposals well clear of the next best (26) by any player on the ground, and when the Tigers follower released the ball, it was more than often finding a teammate, with Trewhella logging an 87 per cent disposal efficiency for the match.

Trewhella was using the ball to good effect at both ends of the ground too.

On the attack, the Tigers star got the ball inside 50 seven times, also a game-high (tied with Shepparton United’s Jordan Wiggins), while on the defensive side he also contributed four rebound-50s.

The ball was finding him in the contest, with seven Rochester clearances coming courtesy of Trewhella and he was involved in a remarkable 17 of his side’s scores.

The Tigers’ cornerstone was making just as much of an impact without the ball, laying eight tackles and intercepting the ball on four occasions.

Henderson’s haul

Andy Henderson also starred in this contest, earning best-on-ground honours for the Tigers after booting seven majors.

The Tigers’ forward made himself known inside the attacking 50, taking six of his nine total marks in that area.

An impressive eight of nine marks were uncontested, a testament to Henderson’s ability to lose his man off the ball.

Henderson made the most of his opportunities in forward areas, kicking a tidy 6.3, while also contributing 19 disposals, at 74 per cent efficiency, including 10 contested possessions.
