Home advantage for zone final

Deniliquin Golf Club’s Division One pennant team will have a home course advantage when they contest the Western Riverina District Golf Association Western Zone final on Sunday.

Deniliquin will play Murray Downs for the 2023 pennant after claiming a narrow win against Rich River, at Rich River, in the semi final on Sunday thanks to wins by Troy Grant, Vince Kelly and Jimmy Poka jnr.

Deniliquin’s Division 2 and 3 teams have played well throughout the season but narrowly missed the finals, both having 3/2 losses on Sunday.

In Division 2 the winners were Lyn O’Brien and John Radeski, while in Division 3 the winner was Ginny Lange, while Margaret Radeski and Gary Stephens squared their matches.

The club thanks everyone who participated in pennant this year and extends best wishes to the Division 1 team for Sunday.
