A Grade

Rennie A grade welcomed two debutants, Demi Rhodes and Mykie McBurnie. At 14 years old Demi has not missed an A grade training session, always wanting to learn and better her skills.

Demi's commitment to her teammates and netball is commendable and when she took the court it was no different.

Mykie stepped up from 17s and showed her versatility in a couple positions.

Her ability to read the play and adapt to other players around her is something that can't be taught and exciting to watch.

Both girls are future talents of the club and the A Grade are thrilled that they got the chance to debut this year, well earnt ladies.

Rennie had a solid game. Brylee had a day out show casing her aerial skills with many intercepts and turnovers but also supporting the attackers to bring the ball down all game. Brooke and Laynee's feeds into the goal circle were something else, with level heads and smart use of the ball certainly earned them both and award.

Sophie Coghill again had a blinder, with strong hands and use of her body, her netball smarts driving her defenders crazy.

Another great team game with positive attitudes, with two byes coming up now is not the time for the A grade team to take the foot off the throttle.

B Grade

A stellar performance from B grade this weekend saw Rennie pull off a 28-goal victory against Blighty. Rennie’s hard work at training looks to be paying off as the girls executed game plans seamlessly and kept up their intensity throughout all 4 quarters.

Best on court went to captain, Ebony Williams for her leadership, reliability down the court and impressive work in the ring.

Goalers, Danielle McPherson and Zoe McKenzie also earned recognition with their terrific use of the space and versatility.

The midcourt took it back to the basics and did it perfectly, showcasing not only their speed and skill, but their development as a team.

Georgia Hope earned herself an award with her strong drives and ability to read the play. Jess Barton and Annie Robilliard were a formidable force in the defensive end.

Their defensive pressure and lightning quick reflexes resulted in many intercepts and turnovers which they were able to convert into the attack end.

Despite rotating positions throughout the game, the girls were able to keep their momentum and played together rhythmically.

Well done Rennie B grade on a much deserved win.

C Grade

Well done to the C-grade girls on another great win for the season. A big thanks and well done to Mel Bourke for stepping up and helping out with numbers this week, you did a fantastic job, and it is always appreciated.

It was a bit of a slow start finding the rhythm this week however by the second quarter the girls were back.

Once again there was great communication moving into the attacking end and using mid court defenders to reset the play to allow easier movement into the goal ring.

The defenders were fantastic in picking up loose balls and being reactive to turnovers, with a number of impressive intercepts and defensive pressure all over the court.

A few things to continue working on at training but overall was a great game. Keep up the good work girls.

C Reserve

After dancing some kind of remixed 'Swan Lake' last week at the annual ball, the C Ressie legends were ready to hang up the dancing shoes and dust off the netburners in pursuit of their next 'W'.

Busting out of the blocks, the team was determined to keep the Redeyes at bay all game. Mel ‘Turkey’ Bourke and Gail ‘GG’ Woolner proved to be headaches for the Blighty attack, similar to the ones majority of the team woke up with last Sunday morning.

Hangxiety wasn’t an issue for Edos Speedos as she absolutely dominated in the mid court with the help of her trusty sidekick Alysse. The pair created absolute chaos defensively.

It was almost like watching the team try to get a nice photo at the ball all over again.

Favourite FIFO player and every trusty coach, Amy ‘the goat’ Smith, donned the dress again this week. It’s almost like she’s been playing all year as she just slots right back into where she left off from.

Shez ‘Ricky D’s’ McBurnie and Lauz were on fire in the mid court running circles around the Redeyes defence.

Neither missed a beat all game moving the ball beautifully down the court and into the goalies, it was like watching a well organised Nutbush.

The sewing club was pedal to the metal this week, hardly missing an opportunity to score. Illa and Tegan worked the ball seamlessly around the ring, slotting goals in the finest fashion.

Their craftsmanship saw the pair finish with a total of 49 goals in the ever sweet victory.

An impressive team effort and what a sensational feeling it is to be back on the winner's list.

The C Res look forward to welcoming Waaia to the Hopperville sanctuary for the final home game of the season, but most importantly, Ladies' Day!

This week the fourth placed Under 15s took on their sixth placed rivals with a tough game being anticipated.

Layla and Sienna, who haven’t had much experience shooting together, did an incredible job at working together and getting all the rebounds.

Jemima, Michelle and Mia worked tirelessly the whole game putting in 100% effort. These 3 always work beautifully together but their determination and perseverance truly showed this week with having 2 less midcourters.

The defence end worked great together creating lots of pressure and turnovers. It was great to have Samantha back after her injury, you wouldn’t even know her foot was the size of a balloon a couple weeks ago.

Best on Kate really showed why she is such a valuable team member, her voice on the court directing everyone as well as creating some great turnovers.

Although Rennie did end up winning by a bit, Blighty didn’t make it easy for the Hopperettes. It was certainly a great game!

Under 13s

It was a battle of who would secure 3rd place on the ladder this week and it was always going to be tight game.

Blighty came out strong and showed a real fight for each and every ball. The Hoppers tried to utilise rolling subs to keep fresh legs on court and it paid off in the last half.

The Rennie girls came out firing from the half time break and took on all the feedback that was given.

The Rennie defence was super strong and the girls are really working well together. Goalies settled in the 2nd half and shot well, following in their shots.

Mid court controlled the ball and gave great direction and adapted to clear space in the mid court. Well done girls, another great win!
