A two-goal Super Cup final haul capped a season to remember for Tatura’s Colette Suter, with the talent recognised for her efforts in the title decider.

Named best-on-ground in the Ibises’ Central Victorian League Two Women’s Super Cup victory, the number five played a key role in the result.

“It’s very exciting,” Suter said.

“I feel like we worked hard all season and this just tops it off.”

A lethal goal scorer, Suter scored 27 goals across 14 games played for the campaign.

In the home and away season the talent produced a seven-goal haul against Swan Hill, with a four-goal effort against Moama-Echuca and two Super Cup final goals the highlights of a season full of impressive performances.

Scoring a goal on either side of half-time in Sunday’s final at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve, Suter said while Tatura’s opponent Kyneton argued on the field, her side did the opposite.

“I think we just had more team work," she said.

“And we had all our fans out there supporting us.

“They’re the best bunch of girls to play with, we have fun at training, we don’t argue with each other and we gel well as a team.”

The best-on-ground gong is well deserved recognition for a fine season and, with a title to defend next year, a returning Suter is sure to be a force to be reckoned with.
