Jane Bow shines at Nagambie

On Wednesday, July 31, seven intrepid women defied the chilly conditions to tee off at Nagambie.

As the day unfolded, the weather took a turn for the better.

Jane Bow maintained her stellar performance, clinching the 18-hole competition with 31 points.

Kylie Carmichael emerged victorious in the nine-hole event, scoring 17 points.

In the 18-hole ball competition, Bow (31 points) and Bev Brown (29 points) came out on top.

The nine-hole balls were claimed by Carmichael and Moz Fowler (16 points), with Fowler edging out Bow on a countback.

While the nearest-the-pin titles remained unclaimed, Jane Leo secured the Seymour Club voucher.

The following Wednesday, August 7, saw eight players vying for honours in a stableford round.

Irene Keogh clinched the A-grade competition with 35 points, narrowly beating Fowler on a countback.

Carol Wallis dominated both B and C-grades with 35 points and also triumphed in the nine-hole event with 18 points, pipping Fowler on a countback.

In the 18-hole ball competition, Wallis, Keogh and Fowler all finished neck-and-neck with 35 points.

Wallis and Fowler both secured nine-hole balls with 18 points each.

Keogh showcased her precision by getting nearest-the-pin on the third. She also bagged the Seymour Club voucher.

On Thursday, August 1, a field of 19 players took to the course for a stroke round.

Rhys Shepherd emerged triumphant with a net score of 34 (40 gross, 16 handicap).

Wayne LeCerf displayed pinpoint accuracy, getting nearest-the-pin on the eighth.

The following Thursday, August 8, saw a robust turnout of 23 players competing in a par round.

Billy Leviston clinched victory on a countback from Dave Love, both finishing at +3.

Love showcased his skills by getting nearest-the-pin on the 13th, while Keogh mirrored this feat on the 16th.
