It was a tough day at the office for the reserves.

The Rovers were just able to capitalise when they had the wind, while the Demons just lacked polish going inside 50.

The team should hold their head high as they didn’t give up all day.

They will be looking for a win next to keep their finals chances alive when they take on Blighty next week.

The fourths knew it was going to be a tough game against the Rovers as they were short on numbers and playing in windy conditions.

They got off to a blazing start.

They were fast paced and aggressive at the ball, coming away with the lead at the end of the first quarter.

Jerilderie had the advantage of the wind in the second but didn’t capitalise on it, backing off a bit and lacking the pressure they applied in the first quarter.

They only scored two points to Deni’s two goals.

In the third term, Deni used the wind well and piled on three goals to Jerilderie’s one.

The Demons needed to stop Deni’s centre clearances and fast midfielders who were controlling the game.

Down 23 points in the last quarter, the team knew they had to improve and kick some majors.

The whole team lifted, regained their legs and gave their all to have the momentum and control the play.

They brought home an exciting end to the game kicking four goals, falling short by only four points.
