Katamatite seals deal in nail biter

Spectators of Picola and District Football League Katamatite versus Tungamah match were treated to a thrilling match with Katamatite just edging out their opponents 51-43.

Both teams appeared confident as they entered the field for round seven.

However, Katamatite finished the first quarter with a 26-point lead, 28-2.

In the second quarter, Tungamah intensified their aggression, narrowing the score to 29-18.

During the third quarter, Katamatite rallied, ending the quarter ahead at 47-28.

Yet, Tungamah didn't give up, pushing forward to score an additional 15 points, with the game concluding 51-43 in Katamatite’s favour.

Tungamah’s Wally Thomson stood out as the match’s leading goal scorer, achieving four goals.

Katamatite currently sits third, while Tungamah sits eighth on the ladder.
