A string of successive Dookie United victories has the resurgent outfit involved in the Kyabram District League A-grade netball top four conversation.

But a serious challenge in the form of an undefeated Shepparton East side in round 14 this weekend will test the qualities of both top four outfits.

The Eagles were simply too good for Dookie back in round one, overcoming Maddison Owen and Georgie O’Connor’s side with a resounding 61-34 win.

Since then, Dookie has suffered just the one defeat, going down to Nagambie in round six.

A blistering run of Thunder form was highlighted with a scintillating 40-34 win over previously-undefeated Tallygaroopna a fortnight ago.

As for the Eagles, their superb unbeaten run this year knows no bounds after they got the better of Nagambie last weekend to deliver the Lakers their first defeat of the campaign.

It was an imposing win in the end too, the Eagles producing a stunning 53-31 away victory.

Elsewhere this weekend, Longwood and Violet Town go-head-to-head with the Redlegs eager to upset the fifth-placed Towners.

Also hunting an upset will be eight-placed Avenel, who is set to welcome Nagambie.

Undera faces a difficult Tallygaroopna task to round out the weekend’s action.
