KDL teenager handed five-match ban for striking

It was a busy week for the Kyabram District League tribunal panel.

A Murchison-Toolamba under-18 footballer was sent directly to the tribunal following an intentional striking report in last week’s game against Nagambie.

The report was graded intentional, high contact and severe impact.

The Grasshoppers junior received a five-match suspension and will miss the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster will be without a star talent for its clash against Stanhope.

Morrie Serra was reported for engaging in rough conduct against Shepparton East’s Adem Barolli.

It was graded as careless, high contact and medium impact.

The former Numurkah and Tatura player was offered an early guilty plea of one match which was accepted.

In Goulburn Valley League, two Shepparton Swans talents have escaped with reprimands following their respective reports in last week’s loss to Seymour.

Captain Nathan Rachele was reported for striking Seymour’s Tom O’Sullivan in an offence that was graded as careless, high contact and low impact.

He accepted an early guilty plea of a reprimand.

Teammate Zac Clohesy was charged with striking and accepted the same fate given to Rachele.

The forward’s striking report was graded as intentional, body contact and low impact.

In the Goulburn Murray Junior League, a Euroa under-16 player was reported for striking a Seymour opponent.

The charge was graded as intentional, medium contact and high.

The Magpies junior was offered an early guilty plea of two matches which was accepted.

Lastly, a Shepparton Swans under-16 player was charged for intentionally striking a Shepparton Notre Gold opponent.

Graded as high contact and low impact, the Swans junior was offered and accepted an early guilty plea of one match.
