It is time to grab a pen and calendar to circle in key dates following the announcement of Kyabram District League’s 2024 season fixture.

Footballers and netballers will take to grounds across the Goulburn Valley with round one pencilled in for April 13 and round 16 slated for August 17.

Finals action will kick-off on August 24, followed by grand finals on September 14.

Next year will once again have each club play one home and one away game on a Sunday to help assist with umpire shortages in the region.

There are two league-wide byes next season, with the first to fall on the King’s Birthday long weekend on June 8, followed by a general bye on July 6.

Kyabram District League revealed next year’s draw on Tuesday afternoon with all eyes on the senior football and A-grade grand final rematches.

Nagambie gets a chance to exact revenge on Lancaster in round four’s split round, while Tallygaroopna challenges Shepparton East on Sunday, June 2.

Reigning premier Lancaster will unfurl its premiership flag at home against Stanhope in the opening round.

Meanwhile, A-grade premier Shepparton East will get its chance to do the same the following week at home against the Wombats.

Recently elected league president Peter Cordy said he was eager to see Kyabram District League continue to grow in 2024.

“(2023) was a fantastic season for the league. The competition throughout the league for both football and netball was great to see,” Cordy said.

“Moving into 2024, the league is excited to return to the field and court and continue to see the level of competition grow across the KDL and we are looking forward to increasing our junior football participation in 2024 after a successful 2023 season.”
